27th September – Olympia London
Healthcare is about people, with patients at the centre of often complex and multiple care related relationships and processes. Technology provides us with the opportunity to make this care more personalised, more efficient and more reflective of individual needs. But this will only work if patients, clinicians and everyone involved have trust and confidence in the technology used and the information it provides. Yet with every step towards a more digital NHS we potentially open the door to more cyber-attacks. This puts information security front and centre in any plans.
In supporting the drive towards wider use of technology we need to ensure that we are building secure foundations, that information security is considered at the outset of every change project and not at the end. We need to see improved information security as an enabler of change, not an inhibitor. Otherwise all our efforts to deliver the personalised and sustainable, patient-centred services envisaged in the Five Year Forward View will be futile.
Cyber Security in Healthcare 2017 is the ideal opportunity for you to understand better the evolving cyber threats, explore with likeminded colleagues the best ways to secure your organisation and help enhance cyber security across health and social care. We have an exciting line-up of speakers, including representatives from NHS Digital, the National Crime Agency, the ICO and a range of healthcare and industry specialists. Please use this event as an opportunity to update your knowledge, network and share ideas.
